¡Hola a todos! Hoy quiero compartir contigo la increíble experiencia que vivimos Raúl y yo en nuestra estancia de una noche a Mérida para celebrar mi cumpleaños. Esta ciudad, con su rica historia romana y su exquisita gastronomía, nos dejó fascinados. A continuación te cuento todos los detalles de nuestra escapada de fin de semana a Mérida para que te animes a visitarla.
Explorando las ruinas romanas
Nuestra aventura comenzó en las famosas ruinas romanas de Mérida. Compramos una entrada única que incluye todos los monumentos por 17€, te permite acceder a varios sitios históricos (te darán un mapa y te orientarán con el recorrido), y lo mejor de todo es que ¡no caduca! Así que si no te da tiempo a ver todo en un solo día, puedes volver cuando quieras. Nos quedamos impresionados con el Anfiteatro, el enorme Circo y la Casa del Mitreo, que conserva muchos mosaícos y estancias.
Museo Nacional de Arte Romano
Justo al lado del Anfiteatro está el Museo Nacional de Arte Romano. Este museo es una verdadera joya. Tiene una colección impresionante de arte y objetos romanos muy bien distribuidos, es un museo que además es totalmente gratuito. Es el complemento perfecto después de recorrer las ruinas, ya que te ofrece una visión más profunda de cómo vivían los romanos en Mérida (y si vas en verano te alegrará estar en un sitio cerrado con aire acondicionado, la verdad :D).
Comiendo en A de Arco
Después de tanto explorar, necesitábamos recargar energías. Así que fuimos al restaurante A de Arco, un sitio genial que te recomiendo sin duda. Nos dimos el gusto con un buen jamón extremeño, que estaba delicioso. El ambiente del restaurante es muy acogedor y el servicio, excelente y bastante rápido.
Nuestra estancia en el Hotel AZZ Medea
Para nuestra estancia, reservamos el Hotel AZZ Medea a través de QueHoteles. Este hotel es fantástico. Optamos por la media pensión, y tanto el desayuno buffet como la cena de menú fueron muy variados y riquísimos, además el personal es muy servicial y nos dejaron entrar en la habitación antes del mediodía. El hotel cuenta con una piscina perfecta para relajarse, y nuestra habitación tenía el lujo adicional de un jacuzzi privado, ¡una maravilla!
Totalmente recomendable
Además de las ruinas y el museo, dimos un paseo por el centro histórico de Mérida, disfrutando de sus calles, plazas y su ambiente. La ciudad tiene un encanto especial, con rincones llenos de historia y cultura. ¡Te encantara!
Nuestra escapada de una noche a Mérida fue genial y aunque nos quedaron un par de sitios por ver: La Alcazaba y la zona de la Morería, volveremos en otoño cuando bajen un poco las temperaturas. Así que si te gusta la historia, quieres disfrutar de la gastronomía y relajarte en un buen hotel, no lo dudes y cópianos el plan: Mérida es el lugar perfecto para hacerlo.
